Day Five-Carb Cycling-My Favorite Buttery Toast With Fried Egg-

By the time it's been toasted
& buttered, with a fried egg on top...
"Yum!"
I should get my greenhouse today. So I have got to clear the area I want to put it. Which means moving the planks & digging up plants. Hopefully the plants can stay put, as they be under the shelves. I can't wait to fill it with plants...

I had the urge for some carbs. I listened to that urge. After all. I should listen to my body. Luckily. I had enough saved carbs to add on to my carb allowance. So I had a slice of toast with butter & a fried egg. My favorite. Yummy!

Diet still intact. I enjoyed every mouthful of my buttery toast. If I had deprived myself of that, I would have ended up binging on high carb food. Instead I was 'In control'. I am going to get some gluten free bread. 1 slice is 12.7g. 1 slice of thick white bread was 21.6g {I think}

When I fancy potatoe. 100g microwaved = 21.7g carbs. I can add butter & cheese. A low carb diet is not just 20g net carbs. It is between 20g & 100g. So technically. I could count 50g net carbs & get plenty of food. After all. I seem to have slowed down my weight loss effect when low carb dieting...

As much as I want to lose as much weight as I can, as fast as possible. Losing weight slowly is easier, healthier, more likely to stay off...&...No obscene loose skin...

By saving carbs, then adding them to my daily carb allowance, I am 'carb cycling'. Today is a high day, but not a high day, because I am still below 50g...

Day Four-Its All In The Mind...

"Wooo!" Another successful diet day. Today is day four. I know I am going to stick to my low carb diet today, because I have no intention of failing...

I have decided to have two weigh days each week. That way I know how I'm doing for my weekly weigh in on the Saturday. If I'm doing bad on Tuesday, it gives me the incentive to try harder for Saturday...

1 lb of fat...
That is quite a lot of fat...
I know, its spread thin over
your whole body,
but that is still pretty impressive,
still better then 0 lbs of fat
or worse 'gaining' fat...
Sooo! I weighed myself this morning. "Wooo!" I lost 1.5 lb after 3 days of eating 20 grams net carbs. If I was exercising I would have lost more, but first I'm improving my breathing. Low carb eating always improves my breathing & my general health. So does eating gluten free & healthy eating. Just cutting out the processed junk improves my breathing...

Dieting is definitely a mind thing. If you tell yourself its hard, I hate dieting, I can't eat such & such. You are setting yourself up to fail. If you tell yourself 'this is easy' 'I love eating this way' 'I can eat whatever I want as long as I count it...

I was reading up on carb cycling. I might look into this. Basically you eat low-med-high {er} carbs. Exercising more on the higher carb days. At the moment I am eating 20g net carbs {Carb grams minus fiber grams}

I won't be doing any extreme weight lifting on high carb days, but I will be doing more exercise then I am used to. Change gets results. So I will keep on increasing the length & intensity of my exercise, also doing different activities. Like digging in the garden, squatting & bending to weed, etc. Or going for a walk. Just moving is exercise. As long as I keep on building up...

Goes off to google 'carb cycling'

On A Diet To Lose Weight-Puts Cream In My Coffee...

30 mls of double cream
is 0.5g carbs...
One of my favorite things about low carb dieting Drinking coffee with double cream. 30 mls = 0.5g carbs...
Should You Use Heavy Cream for Coffee or Cooking?
Cream this heavy, as noted above, actually suppresses appetite. Using 2-3 tablespoons in coffee can help curb mid-morning or mid-afternoon cravings. Because it contains saturated fats, using heavy cream is healthier than using vegetable oils with their polyunsaturated fats. These latter type of fats are the ones that cause arterial problems. If your body can tolerate dairy products, using cream can actually help you lose weight, as well as fuel your long-term exercise program.
Yesterday. All I had during the day, was 2 cups of coffee with 2x 30 mls double cream, between waking up & dinner time. I just did not feel hungry, or crave food. I totally forgot about eating. I ate at 5pm when I felt hungry...

Being in control of my eating feels great. Not obsessing about food in between 'when' I can eat is very liberating, lol...

Introduction-

I started my weight loss journey on Saturday 29th August 2015. Two successful diet days so far. Many more to come. I am 'determined' to succeed on my quest to be a happier, healthier, slimmer, more attractive me...

I say happier, as in 'happier in my own skin'. Healthier is the main reason I am so determined to lose weight. I want to be able to go out for long walks again...

The key to successful dieting is getting your head in the right frame of mind. No defeatist, self doubting, self sabotage. No excuses. Keeping yourself motivated every moment of the day keeps you focused on your goals...

I have been on a successful diet before, but I ended up regaining all the weight I lost, plus an extra 2 stone. It is easy to lose weight. It is the keeping it off which is the most challenging, but not impossible...
